We Verify Your Candidacy
Election Beacon identifies all verified U.S. House and Senate candidates using official public records, including Federal Election Commission filings and state election authority databases. Only confirmed candidates are included on the platform.
You Receive a Personal Invitation
We contact you directly using your official campaign contact information and send you a secure, unique survey link.
You Complete the 30-Question Survey
The survey covers 8 policy categories. Every question is answered on a 6-point scale from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree. The same survey is completed by every voter on the platform, no special versions, no different questions.
Your Profile Goes Live
Once you submit your responses, your candidate profile is published on Election Beacon and becomes visible to voters in your district or state when they complete the Voting Compass. Your profile remains active for the duration of the election cycle.
Note: Responses that contain derogatory, discriminatory, or racially offensive language will result in an immediate account freeze pending review and correction.
We believe transparency works both ways.
Your survey responses are displayed on your candidate profile exactly as you submitted them; we do not change, reframe, or interpret your answers. Your profile also includes your contact information, campaign website, and social media channels, giving voters a direct path to learn more about you and your campaign. Each of the 8 policy categories on your profile includes a short summary of your positions derived directly from your responses.
Voters who view your profile can see your answer to every individual question alongside their own answer. Premium subscribers can compare their responses to yours side by side across all 30 questions, with a clear indicator showing where your positions align and where they differ.

Q: HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE BEEN INVITED?
Election Beacon contacts all verified federal candidates directly using official campaign contact information. If you have received an email from us, your candidacy has been verified through public records. If you believe you should have received an invitation but have not, please contact us at candidates@electionbeacon.com.
Q: CAN I UPDATE MY ANSWERS AFTER SUBMITTING?
We understand that policy positions can evolve over the course of a campaign. Please contact us at candidates@electionbeacon.com if you need to update your responses. We will review requests on a case-by-case basis and may ask for documentation of any significant position changes before updating your profile.
Q: WHO SEES MY SURVEY RESPONSES?
Your survey responses are visible to all voters who view your candidate profile on Election Beacon — both free and Pro users. There is no private version of your responses. All answers are public once your profile is live.
Q: IS ELECTION BEACON AFFILIATED WITH ANY POLITICAL PARTY?
No. Election Beacon is operated by Circino Inc., an independent technology company with no affiliation to any political party, campaign committee, or political action committee. We do not accept funding from political organizations.
Q: DOES IT COST ANYTHING TO PARTICIPATE?
No. Participation in Election Beacon is completely free for all candidates. There are no fees, no tiers, and no paid features for candidates.
Q: WHAT IF I DISAGREE WITH HOW MY PROFILE IS DISPLAYED?
Your profile displays your survey responses exactly as submitted alongside auto-generated category summaries based on your own answers. If you believe there is an error in how your responses are displayed, please contact us at candidates@electionbeacon.com, and we will review your concern promptly.
Q: CAN I REQUEST TO BE REMOVED FROM THE PLATFORM?
Candidates who are verified through official public records are listed on Election Beacon as part of our commitment to giving voters a complete picture of who is running in their race. If you have concerns about your listing, please contact us at candidates@electionbeacon.com to discuss your situation.
Q: HOW DOES THE MATCHING ALGORITHM WORK?
The algorithm compares your answers to a voter’s answers question by question on the 6-point scale. The closer your answers are to the voter’s, the higher your match score. All 30 questions are weighted equally. For a full explanation of the methodology, visit our How It Works page.
Q: WHAT HAPPENS TO MY PROFILE IF I WITHDRAW OR DON’T ADVANCE PAST THE PRIMARY?
Candidate profiles are active for the duration of your current election cycle. If you withdraw from your race or do not advance past the primary, your profile will be removed from Election Beacon within 14 days. We verify candidate status through official sources including FEC filings and certified election results. If we are unable to confirm your status through official sources, we will contact your campaign directly before taking any action. You will be notified by email prior to removal.
